Visit at the LEN European Championship U-15 Qualification group B

Last the weekend the organizers of the Water Polo European Universities Championship 2019 Koper visited an important international Water polo competition, which was held in the Olympic Swimming pool at the Sportive recreational centre of Bonifika in Koper. The goal was to learn some new things and to promote the EUC.

The freshly opened pool hosted the B qualification group for the next European championship in the U-15 men category. The group was composed by the national teams of Italy, Greece, Ukraine, Romania, Malta and the home squad of Slovenia. After four days of intensive matches Greece, Italy and Slovenia were positioned at the first three places in the group. That meant that the qualification mission was successful for the young Water Polo players (and future students) of the three Mediterranean nations.

The most known Slovene international referee Boris Margeta was present at the tournament, as the president of the Union of the Slovenian Water polo societies mr. Boštjan Tušar, who confirmed his support for the summer EUC in Koper.
